Two Stages repair of proximal hypospadias: Review of 33 cases

摘要: Background/Purpose: Proximal hypospadias with chordee is the most challenging variant of to reconstruct. During last 10 years, approach sever has been controversial. Materials & Methods: period from June 2002 December 2009, I performed 33 cases proximal hypospadias, at Demerdash hospital; Ain Shams University; department paediatric surgery. Data were collected retrospectively and included patient's age operation, degree associated chordee, procedure complications any repeated operation. All patients underwent 2 staged procedures 9 12 month interval in-between. Results: Thirty three operated upon in a 7 years. Byars's operation was used all cases. had repairs. Neither complete disruption nor urethral diverticula occurred patients. Twenty four no complication. Single fistula present 6 . Two fistulas; one original site other sub-coronal. The patient moderate meatal stenosis, which successfully treated by dilatations. Conclusion: Stages using principles technique; versatile that can be for hypospadias. It decreases rate formation; disruption; stenosis gives satisfactory cosmetic appearance. Index Word: two stages repair.
