摘要: Abstract Previous studies showed that DENV-1 transmitted from monkeys to humans approximately 125 years ago. However, there is no comprehensive analysis about phylogeography and population dynamics of Asian DENV-1. Here, we adopt a Bayesian phylogeographic approach investigate the evolutionary history using envelope (E) protein gene sequences 450 viruses isolated 1954 2010 throughout 18 countries regions. analyses indicate high rates viral migration possibly follows long-distance travel for in Southeast Asia. Our study highlights have acted as main sources dengue epidemics East The results reveal time most recent common ancestor (TMRCA) 1906 (95% HPD, years 1897–1915). We show spatial dissemination virus major source outbreaks different localities leads subsequent establishment expansion these areas.
