摘要: Although dengue is a common disease in South-East Asia, there marked absence of virological data from the Malaysian state Sarawak located on island Borneo. From 1997 to 2002 we noted co-circulation DENV-2, DENV-3 and DENV-4 Sarawak. To determine origins these viruses obtained complete E gene sequences 21 isolates. A phylogenetic analysis revealed multiple entries DENV-2 into Sarawak, such that lineages co-circulate, yet with little exportation Notably, all viral isolates were most closely related those circulating different localities Asia. In sum, our reveals frequent traffic DENV representing local sink population.
