GATA6 predicts prognosis and hepatic metastasis of colorectal cancer.

摘要: Liver metastasis is a major cause of mortality for colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown. GATA binding protein 6 (GATA6), zinc-finger transcription factor, expressed in epithelium. We investigated clinical significance GATA6 and its role invasion CRC. Expression 89 cancerous, 35 adjacent normal 39 liver metastatic samples from CRC patients undergoing surgical resection was detected by immunohistochemical (IHC) methods.
