摘要: OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the pathology of vulvar hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). STUDY DESIGN: A retrospective review histology resections for HS was performed, and a battery immunohistochemical stains performed. They included markers apocrine differentiation (GCDFP-15, CD15, lysozyme) eccrine S-100, CA-19.9, HMB45). RESULTS: Thirteen cases were available review. Eccrine glands accounted majority in all cases. Apocrine not seen or present only away from area active inflammation 10 In two cases, totally destroyed areas inflammation. Evidence follicular obstruction 11 13 Severity variable, ranging minimal, with burned-out disease, to severe. Fibrosis variable but greater less inflammation, suggesting later stage disease evolution. Inflammation often absent minimal associated poral occlusion. GCDFP-15 stained both (only dark cells). S-100 secretory (clear) cells glands. CD15 Lysozyme glands, this consistent finding. CA19-9 gave inconsistent results HMB-45 negative CONCLUSION: Cases showed areas. when present, eventual destruction appear be secondary part process. is reliable marker clear also differentiation. weak staining. gland
