Workgroup Report: IncorporatingIn VitroAlternative Methods for Developmental Neurotoxicity into International Hazard and Risk Assessment Strategies

摘要: This is the report of first workshop on Incorporating In Vitro Alternative Methods for Developmental Neurotoxicity (DNT) Testing into International Hazard and Risk Assessment Strategies, held in Ispra, Italy, 19–21 April 2005. The was hosted by European Centre Validation (ECVAM) jointly organized ECVAM, Chemical Industry Council, Johns Hopkins University Center Alternatives to Animal Testing. primary aim identify catalog potential methods that could be used assess how data from vitro alternative help predict DNT hazards. Working groups focused two different aspects: a) details science available field DNT, including discussions models capture critical mechanisms processes, b) policy strategy aspects integration a regulatory framework. summarizes these recommendations priorities future work.
