摘要: Abstract Background . Numerous materials have been used for reconstruction of the right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) in patients with complex congenital heart defects. Methods Between January 1982 and March 1999, 19 (10 boys 9 girls; mean age, 8.5 years) severe RVOT obstruction underwent using a transannular patch expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) monocuspid valve. Results There were no perioperative deaths. Postoperatively, ± standard deviation gradient was 12 mm Hg. Echocardiography showed good motion all cusps, most had or trivial pulmonary regurgitation. The difference between preoperative postoperative ratio right-to-left peak systolic pressure significant ( p = 0.0001). In 8 followed 3 years longer, regurgitation mild better 5 moderate 2, 16.3 5.9 Five mobility monocusps. Two needed reoperation because stenosis at distal anastomosis patch; 1 patient died. Conclusions ePTFE valve may be useful RVOT.
