Preparation, structural and optical characterization of nanocrystalline ZnO doped with luminescent Ag-nanoclusters

摘要: Nanocrystalline ZnO doped with Ag-nanoclusters has been synthesized by a salt solid state reaction. Three overlapping broad emission bands due to the Ag nanoclusters have detected at about 570, 750 and 900 nm. These are excited an energy transfer from exciton of host when pumped in wavelength range 250 400 The nm band shows characteristic orbital splitting into three components pointing out that anisotropic crystalline wurtzite is responsible for this feature. Heat-treatment temperature dependence studies confirm origin these bands. An level diagram process model sites suggested. nanocrystalline may be applied white light generation, displays driven UV light, down-convertors solar cells luminescent lamps.
