摘要: Brain and serum lithium concentrations were measured every second hour during a 24-hr period following intake, again 48-hr later in two normal subjects steady state treatment receiving carbonate (Priadel Synthelabo) once evening. The brain-lithium concentration was by 7Li magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS). brain level found to undulate peak-trough pattern that followed the profile, although an attenuated form. brain/serum ratio varied considerably period, ranging from 0.5 1.3, but independent of serum-lithium concentration. median half-life for 28 hr brain, 16 serum. morning about 75% clinically relevant standard 12-hr finding undulates day means MRS measurements can only be compared if carried out under conditions include fixed interval intake identical regimen.
