摘要: To test for a possible role of adrenergic mechanisms in the altered glucagon secretion spontaneously diabetic "BB" rat, responses glucose, insulin, and to blocking agents normal rats were compared at rest during 2 h immobilization stress. In unstressed rats, phentolamine alone caused 20 mg/dl fall glycemia, 1.2 ng/ml rise insulin (IRI), no change (IRG), whereas only effect propranolol was minor glycemia. Stress increments glycemia 72 IRG 94 pg/ml, IRI. Phentolamine significantly attenuated stress-related increments, IRI increased by same amount as state. Propranolol exhibited statistically significant effects on response These findings are consistent with alpha-adrenergic stimulation suppression secretion. (mean time 0 431 mg/dl), small induced marked (131 mg/dl) (116 pg/ml). did likewise (189 mg/dl, 122 pg/ml) stress (271 144 However stress-induced (88 (82 Thus both alpha- beta-adrenergic receptors influence rats. An vivo model elucidating neural control glucoregulation has been developed that is independent cardiovascular fitness.
