摘要: Neurogenesis continues in the adult brain and is increased certain pathological states. We reported recently that neurogenesis enhanced hippocampus of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). now report effect AD on can be reproduced a transgenic mouse model. PDGF-APPSw,Ind mice, which express Swedish Indiana amyloid precursor protein mutations, show incorporation BrdUrd expression immature neuronal markers two neuroproliferative regions: dentate gyrus subventricular zone. These changes, consisting ≈2-fold increases number BrdUrd-labeled cells, were observed at age 3 months, when loss deposition are not detected. Because occurs both an animal model AD, it seems to caused by itself confounding clinical factors. As mice absence loss, must triggered more subtle manifestations, such as impaired neurotransmission. Enhanced models suggests may compensatory response measures enhance further could have therapeutic potential.
