摘要: Abstract By serial transfer in the presence of 2-fluoroadenine, a subline H.Ep. #2 cells culture was selected for high resistance to 2-fluoroadenine. The stable when were cultured absence resistant essentially devoid AMP pyrophosphorylase activity, but retained IMP and GMP purine nucleoside kinase activities. Intact growing parent lines did not differ capacity incorporate into polynucleotides 14 C from adenosine-8- hypoxanthine-8- C, but, as compared sensitive cells, incorporated adenine-8- very poorly. cross-resistant adenine analogs sensitivity series adenosine analogs. Many nucleosides much more toxic cell line than corresponding free bases. These results suggest that kinase, presumably is critical enzyme the. activation these cytotoxic adenosine.
