摘要: Community based forestry has the potential to contribute much more achieving sustainable development and poverty reduction than is case today. This paper describes analyzes these potentials demonstrates their feasibility with real world cases of community forest businesses innovative policies business partnerships. preliminary assessment offered as a first step in longer-term effort understand existing product service markets, identify most promising market opportunities for local producers, focusing particularly on developing countries. Part I presents broader context forestry's changing relation rural reduction. II develops framework considering which niches have poor producers. III proposes strategies targeted actions realize that potential.
