摘要: Electrical current pulses of quite variable duration have been used in activation intradental nerves both human subjects and experimental animals. It seems, however, that little information is available about the effect pulse on responses single pulp nerve units. The aim present study was to investigate excitation thresholds A-and C-fibres cat. In 12 anesthetized cats 61 C-and 53 A-nerve units were identified recorded. determined with different from 0.2 50.0 ms. maximal stimulus intensity 200 μA.Conduction velocities all recorded absolute refractory periods 20 C-units determined. Intradental had strength-duration properties. With durations A-fibres lowest thresholds. Part did not respond shortest even maximum (200 μA).With ms only 31.1% could be activated. some a long capable inducing several action potentials, when increased suprathreshold. Refractory A-units <2.0 those 5.0–9.0 concluded electrical stimulation teeth strongly affects fibre function pronounced because repetitive firing These properties should also considered, applied teeth.
