摘要: BACKGROUND: Neurosurgery, a demanding specialty, involves many microsurgical procedures that require complex skills, including open surgical treatment of intracranial aneurysms. Simulation or practice models may be useful for acquiring these skills before trainees perform surgery on human patients. OBJECTIVE: To describe placenta model the creation and clipping METHODS: Placental vessels from 40 placentas were dimensionally comparable to sizes appropriate cerebral isolated create aneurysms different shapes. The then prepared vascular microsurgery exercises. Sylvian fissure‐like dissection technique large- small-necked practiced with without pulsatile flow. A field designed resemble real craniotomy was reproduced in model. RESULTS: has plethora are proper dimensions allow dome neck similar those saccular fusiform These anatomic scenarios allowed aneurysm inspection, manipulation, practice. Technical include simulation sylvian fissure dissection, unruptured clipping, ruptured wrapping; all high fidelity haptics live surgery. Skill-training exercises realistically clipping. CONCLUSION: Human provides an inexpensive, widely available, convenient biological tissue can used morphologies. Neurosurgical benefit preoperative use realistic gain familiarity critical techniques treating
