摘要: In the pathogenesis of allergic asthma/rhinitis, 2 main types cells play a role: hematolymphatic (mast cells, eosinophils, T B cells) and nonhematolymphatic (airway smooth muscle epithelial cells). It is not known which one cell plays primary role. Here we review literature on disease transfer potential cure with allogeneic hematopoietic transplantation (HCT), as transferability curability would support role have implications for donor selection HCT possible future treatment severe HCT. A total 18 nonallergic recipients were reported to develop after transplantation; however, conclusive information was available only 5 cases. Allergic abate in 3 recipients; "cure" Problems interpreting reports include incomplete data or recipient before transplantation, knowing denominator, lack controls. summary, generates hypothesis that transferable curable prospective study, including appropriate controls, needed evaluate this hypothesis.
