摘要: Background The current study aimed to investigate the effect of ablation therapy on quality life (QOL) in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) by using a questionnaire specific for AF. Methods and Results A total 86 (paroxysmal/chronic, 61/25) drug-resistant AF undergoing extensive pulmonary vein isolation were recruited study. QOL was quantitatively assessed Atrial Fibrillation Quality Life Questionnaire at baseline, 1, 3 6 months after ablation. Sinus rhythm maintained 48/61 (79%) paroxysmal group, 15/25 (60%) those chronic group during initial procedure. Among without any recurrences, exhibited substantial improvement 1 month procedure, it remained unchanged until end follow-up period. However, AF, level gradually increased over 6-month recurrent no QOL. Conclusion Although clinical course different, both gained better maintain sinus means catheter (Circ J 2008; 72: 582 - 587)
