Mossbauer measurements in canted antiferromagnetic GdAlO3

摘要: Mossbauer effect measurements have been made on single crystal and powder specimens of GdAlO3 using the 86.5 keV transition in 155Gd. The direction EFG temperature dependence hyperfine field sublattice canting angle evaluated. A nearest-neighbour exchange constant J1/k=(-0.070+or-0.002)K agrees well with other reports whilst CEF parameters +0.090K
