摘要: Both non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) and eating disorders (ED) are considered to be harmful behaviors falling within a behavioral spectrum ranging from self-care self-harm. The high degree of co-occurrence these behaviors, along with their shared body focus has motivated researchers investigate theorize about the potential factors driving comorbidity. In this chapter, we present conceptual model based upon current empirical literature depicting distal proximal psychosocial risk by NSSI ED. This provides framework for understanding ED, different components being further elaborated on discussed regards treatment recommendations across chapters included in volume. chapter concludes short introduction summary each book.
