摘要: The aim of the present work was to evaluate effects a thermal pre-treatment olive mill solid waste (OMSW) and phenol extraction process on semi-continuous anaerobic digestion this pre-treated during prolonged operational period (275 days) in order assess organic loading rates (OLR) 1 ad 2 g Volatile Solids (VS)/(L·d). thermally de-phenolized OMSW stable at an OLR 1 g VS/(L·d), which permitted specific production rate 172 ± 60 mL CH4/(g VS·d). However, system not able operate resulted total failure process. Regardless applied OLR, phenolic compounds were effectively degraded inhibition thresholds reached. VS/(L·d) probably due overloading system, indicated by accumulation matter volatile fatty acids. operation digester under conditions allowed for high profitability proposed bio-refinery concept, would still be profitable extract price above 51.8 €/kg, is 90% lower than current 520 €/kg.
