Mixed gliomas. Their clinical course and results of surgery.

摘要: 43 cases of mixed gliomas (oligoastrocytomas) selected out 505 supratentorial glial tumors were reviewed. 26 designated grade I and 17 as II. In 29 two components occurred in about equal amounts whereas there was oligodendrocytes predominance 11 astrocytes preponderated only 3 cases. 56% the patients male 44% female. The mean age at time diagnosis 45.6 years. There 9 postoperative deaths result surgery poor 6 remaining 28 immediate good or fair. a distinct tendency showed by with oligodendroglial cells to involve basal ganglia contralateral hemisphere.
