摘要: Background/aims: Various microbiological methods have been used for testing bacterial markers periodontitis and periodontal disease progression. Most studies only a limited number of well recognized species. The purpose the present study was to evaluate association 13 more recently identified species in new panel comparison with 12 previously periodontotopathogens (‘old panel’) using ‘checkerboard’ DNA–DNA hybridization method. Methods: Fifty individuals were chosen who showed at least one site probing pocket depth 6 mm or (disease) bleeding on 3 mm without (health). One diseased healthy each individual sampled paperpoint technique samples processed checkerboard against deoxigenin-labeled whole genomic probes 25 subgingival representing newly associated species. Results: Twenty-four (out 25) detected frequently plaque than sites both score 1 (> 104) 3 (> 105). A significant difference higher (score 3) noticed all old except three (Streptococcus intermedius, Selenomonas noxia, Eikenella corrodens). Of Prevotella tannerae, Filifactor alocis, Porphyromonas endodontalis statistical between sites. Conclusion: It concluded that P. F. should be added routine diagnostics periodontitis-associated flora.
