摘要: Abstract Environmental pH is one of the factors contributing to abiotic stress which in turn influences growth and development macroalgae. This study was conducted order assess physiological changes Kappaphycus alvarezii under different conditions: pHs 6, ∼8.4 (control) 9. K. explants exhibited a difference daily rate (DGR) among treatments ( p  ≤ 0.05). The highest DGR observed control culture with followed by alkaline (pH 9) acidic 6) induced cultures. Protein expression profile generated from cultures using sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) protein identification analysis matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MALDI-TOF-MS) Mascot software. Ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase (Rubisco) large chain identified be up-regulated condition during second fourth week culture. findings indicated that Rubisco can employed as biomarker for stress. Further on association between levels their underlying mechanisms conditions recommended.
