Experimental, mechanistic trials clearly indicate positive on function. However, lack randomized controlled hinders translation application in treatment PCOS. In this chapter, we summarize diagnostic criteria characters, PCOS-like animal models well possible physiological basis mechanism effect Clinical data from studies experimental observations rat suggest that exerts long-lasting beneficial metabolic, endocrine, neuroendocrine systems.
