摘要: Abstract The following article explores the controversial and topical issue of imam training in West while focusing on British situation. Built upon two studies, one quantitative another qualitative, it argues that voluntary partnerships between Muslim providers higher education system are way forward rather than government intervention alone. Utilizing an historical analysis dars-i-nizami curriculum as developed South Asia, concludes traditional division manqulat ma'qulat provides means to create such route towards professionalizing imams whilst acknowledging religious sensitivities around issues ijaza sanad respecting need cultivate taqwa.
