摘要: This ariticle concerns the contradictions between segmentationist approach to analysis of labor market and orthodox radical contention that all or most wage salary earners belong same social class. Labor segmentation implies priviliges, these, in turn, provide for class alliances aimed at perpetuating segmentation. Here crucial division within is seen as located along manual-nonmanual occupational divide. The concepts equalizing pay differentials, noncompeting groups, barriers education are used show nonmanual working has a strong incentive form alliance with capital, least long benefits which might derive from different remain unspecified. pg 259-285
