摘要: It is well-known that fluidized beds are usually unstable to small perturbations and this leads the primary bifurcation of vertically travelling plane wavetrains. These one-dimensional periodic waves have been shown recently be two-dimensional large transverse wavelength in gas-fluidized beds. In article, result generalized include liquid-fluidized compare typical with either air or water. instability mechanism remains same but there big differences ratio secondary growth rates two cases. The tendency rates, scaled amplitude a fully developed wave, similar magnitude for both gas- beds, while rate much larger bed. This means accordingly stronger than bed, consequently sets at smaller wave. However, since bed develop on time length scale, need longer thereby travel farther until they reach critical amplitude. Which patterns more amenable being visually recognized depends initially imposed disturbance dimensions apparatus. difference scale plays key role bringing about between beds; it produced mainly by different values Froude number.
