Results: In both regimens, there were significant reductions in female worms, hepatic tissue egg count and early immature ova, addition significant reductions size granuloma. The resulted male, total intestinal load. scanning electron microscopy revealed tegumental alternations as bleb formation, erosion necrosis more evident with double dose. addition, high showed extensive erosions male worms destruction gynaecophoric canal. females, marked surface extending ventral oral suckers. Conclusions: has promising anti-schistosomal effects. However, further research is needed test effect ivermectin on schistosomiasis especially combination other antischistosomal agents, avoid any possible resistance from monotherapy.
