New bioactive triterpenoids and antimalarial activity of Diospyros rubra Lec.

摘要: The first investigation of the chemical constituents and bioactivities Diospyros rubra Lec. is reported. D. extracts were screened for antimicrobial, antimalarial cytotoxic activities. They only shown to be active antimalarials. with good activity isolated extensively purified give lupeol (1), lupenone (2), betulin (3), acetate (4), 28-O-acetylbetulin (5), β-sitosteryl-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (6) a mixture β-sitosterol stigmasterol. Some isolates tested antimicrobial actions. Betulin (3) displayed against Streptococcus pyogenes minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 85 μg/mL. Interestingly, bioactive fractions all selectively exerted some Corynebacterium diphtheriae NCTC 10356 MIC range 64-256 study provides data support medicinal importance rubra.
