Effect of High Fat Diets on the Thermogenic Activity of Brown Adipose Tissue in Cold-Acclimated Mice

摘要: The effects of feeding high fat diets on thermogenesis in brown adipose tissue has been investigated cold-acclimated mice. Two differing fatty acid composition were used, one which was based corn oil and the other beef tallow. After 3 weeks there little difference weight, protein content cytochrome oxidase activity (interscapular plus subscapular) mice fed from those given low stock diet. However, showed marked increases mitochondrial GDP binding respiration, consistent with an augmentation proton conductance pathway. This increase mitochondria occurred without any elevation digestible energy intake, is therefore not a response to overfeeding. It concluded that pathway can be modulated by level dietary triglyceride independently intake. We suggest effect may relate suppressive lipid synthesis tissue.
