摘要: The IPCC Forth Assessment Report postulates that global warming can be limited to 2 °C by deploying technologies are currently available or expected commercialized in the coming decades. However, neither specific technological pathways nor internationally binding reduction targets for different sectors countries have been established yet. Using passenger car stock China as example we compute direct CO2 emissions until 2050 depending on population, utilization, and fuel efficiency compare them benchmarks derived assuming even contribution of all a unitary per capita emission quota.Compared present utilization industrialized countries, massive deployment prototypes efficient cars could reduce about 45%, moderately lower use contribute with another 33%.
