摘要: Objective: To investigate the effect of duration clinical training placements in Northern Territory on rate return medical students for an internship NT. Design, setting and participants: Retrospective analysis school hospital data all who completed a placement with Clinical School (NTCS) between 1998 2007. Main outcome measures: Logistic regression weeks spent NT against binary category or non-return NT; number required one returning intern models different timing. Results: 683 NTCS placement: short-term Year 4 only, 538 (duration, 1-19 weeks, 534; ≥ 20 4); 3 40-week 16; both placements,129 (Year duration, 82; 47). For each student returned internship, 122 were required. Placement length was significant predictor (P<0.05; odds ratio, 1.08; 95% Cl, 1.07-1.09). The most efficient (fewest per intern) longer (≥ weeks) 4, also undertook those did not (90 47 intern, respectively). Students only brief periods less likely to (P<0.05). Conclusions: increased total time Short-term offered least provided.
