摘要: DNA damage causes an arrest in cell cycle progression. Checkpoints, which monitor the state of DNA, exist throughout and negatively regulate transitions when is detected. The molecular basis how these checkpoints are activated, interact with machinery, just beginning to be understood. Studies yeast have identified a number genes involved G2 checkpoint, while mammalian cells G1 checkpoint has been extensively studied.
