摘要: The p53 gene is frequently mutated in a wide variety of human cancers. However, the role wild-type growth control not known. Hybrid proteins that contain DNA binding domain yeast GAL4 and portions have been used to show protein contains transcription-activating sequence functions both mammalian cells. NH2-terminal 73 residues activated transcription cells as efficiently herpes virus VP16, which one strongest known activation domains. Combined with previous data showed localized nucleus can bind DNA, these results support idea function activate genes suppress cell proliferation.
