摘要: Long-term potentiation (LTP) is a process that due to its prolonged time course and associative nature of induction believed be involved in learning memory the mammalian brain. In this chapter experimental evidence for view LTP initiated by an influx calcium ions through synaptically controlled N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor channels discussed. It will also described how develops following induction. shown there considerable delay, about 2-3 s, between tetanus initiation LTP, additional 20-30 s are needed reach peak levels. The subsequently decays degree which depends primarily on length. argued early phase tetanus-induced same as present few hours later.
