摘要: Background and Purpose— The aim of this study is to estimate the risk stroke in a 3-year period after pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) using nationwide population-based study. Methods— Our cohort consisted all patients with diagnosis PID (N=64 515) between 2004 2005 control (1:2) age-matched controls (N=129 030). Each patient was tracked from hospitalization until end 2006. Cox regressions were performed compute stroke-free survival rates adjusting for possible confounding factors. Results— We found that women more likely have strokes than population. After potential factors, adjusted hazard ratio 1.63 (95% CI, 1.45–1.85) as compared general population cohort. Sensitivity analysis bootstrap approach further ensured validity results our Conclusions— concluded an association stroke. Further research necessary investigate pathophysiology
