摘要: The biodegradation of alicyclic compounds was studied under methanogenic and sulfate-reducing conditions in samples from a gas condensate-contaminated aquifer amended with whole gasoline. Aquifer microorganisms exhibited previously unrecognized anaerobic hydrocarbon metabolism broad range substrates at relatively rapid rates. Simple unsubstituted, methyl-substituted, ethyl-substituted cyclopentenes, cyclopentanes cyclohexanes were consumed without substantial lag the presence sulfate, but rather less effectively conditions. Dimethyl-substituted biodegraded only sulfate limited isomer-specific biodegradative pattern seen. These results extend hydrocarbons known to be susceptible decay help indicate patterns that can expected
