摘要: Insulin-like growth factors (IGF-1 and IGF-2) the IGF-1 membrane receptor (IGF-1R) have been found to play a critical role in carcinogenesis of several tumors, among them colorectal cancer (CRC). To study prognostic impact these molecules, total number 713 cases CRC were examined for expression IGF-1, IGF-2, IGF-1R. The results correlated with other clinicopathological data clinical follow-up. was noted 53 (7.5%), IGF-2 88 (12.6%), IGF-1R 698 (99.6%) cases. There significant associations between two (P<0.00001), Ki-67 proliferation activity (P<0.05), tumor stage (P<0.005). positivity significantly worse outcome (P<0.005) only univariate, but not multivariate, survival analysis. A similar trend obtained patients IGF-1-positive CRC, reached statistical significance limited stages (pT1/pT2; P<0.01). Although synchronous subset is consistent an auto-/paracrine loop cell autostimulation, effect seems be value. However, identification IGF-positive might beneficial predictive reasons, as new molecular therapeutic approaches are aimed at IGF system related pathways.
