摘要: In the present research work, silicon nitride (Si3N4) and graphite (Gr) ceramic powders are ball milled to obtain homogeneous mixing consistent density of combined powder. The ball-milled powder is used as reinforcement for hybrid composite development by stir casting process in inert atmosphere. After milling 100 hours, (Si3N4 + Gr) measured 2.81 g/cm3, which approximately equal aluminum (2.7 g/cm3). microstructures hardness manufactured composites analyzed compared with Si3N4- Gr-reinforced composites. Scanning electron micrograph reveals a reasonably uniform dispersion metal matrix Hardness results reveal that have more than lower Si3N4-reinforced dry sliding wear behavior has also been investigated. Response surface methodology develop model using percentage (R), load (L), speed (S), distance (D) parameters. investigation show increase (S) (R) reduce wear, while or (L) increases Further, load-sliding interactions reduces due speed-sliding interaction high range. errors between modeled experimental found within 3 7 pct.
