摘要: One challenge in understanding the evolution of Internet infrastructure is lack systematic mechanisms for monitoring extent to which allocated IP addresses are actually used. In this paper, we advance science inferring IPv4 address space utilization by proposing a novel taxonomy and analyzing correlating results obtained through different types measurements. We have previously studied an approach based on passive measurements that can reveal used portions unseen active approaches. study such approaches detail, extending our methodology new vantage points identifying traffic components most significantly contribute discovering network blocks. then combine together with data from measurement studies, as well Border Gateway Protocol additional sets available researchers. Through analysis large collection heterogeneous sets, substantially improve state art terms of: 1) challenges opportunities using techniques 2) knowledge space.
