摘要: Nowadays, the use of inverters for speed variation low voltage motors has become more and common. The most common technology this kind apparatus uses pulse width modulation (PWM). It is characterized by a square shape with short rise fall times. In order to insure quality turn ground insulation submitted these constraints, study on aging polyethylene terephthalate (Mylar/sup TM/) been undertaken. Influence times, frequency magnitude investigated time duration up 1000 hours. To realize good application, samples were previously metalized. Two different behaviors according are observed. For long changes in capacity values obtained although, smaller or degradation metalized electrode appears. A surface charge generation process discussed explain phenomena.
