摘要: Abstract Objective To evaluate the usability of concept mapping to elicit expectations healthcare professionals regarding implementation a new electronic health record (EHR). These need be taken into account during process maximize chance success EHR. Setting Two university hospitals in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, preparation phase jointly implementing During this study had different methods documenting patient information (legacy EHR vs. paper-based records). Method Concept was used determine and classify A multidisciplinary group 46 from both participated study. Expectations were elicited focus groups, their relevance feasibility assessed through web-questionnaire. Nonmetric multidimensional scaling clustering identify clusters expectations. Results We found nine expectations, each covering an important topic enable work properly with once implemented: usability, data use reuse, facility conditions, registration, support, training, internal communication, patients, collaboration. Average importance high. Conclusion is effective method find topics that, according professionals, are consider helps combine input large stakeholders at limited efforts.
