摘要: Data for the {alpha}/{delta}{prime}(Al{sub 3}Li) solvus reported in literature shows an extremely wide scatter. An attempt has therefore been made to redefine this boundary using electrical resistivity measurements low lithium concentrations and differential scanning calorimetry high concentrations. The concentration, C{sub e}, at {alpha}/{delta}{prime} is closely defined over range 2--13 at.% Li by equation 1nC{sub e}(at.%) = 4.176 {minus} RT/9180 found be good agreement with values calculated from thermodynamic data. Zirconium additions of up 0.05 do not affect position boundary. A by-product investigation was {delta}{prime}(Al{sub phase, which 41 n{Omega}m.
