摘要: This paper will describe the isolation and properties of a group new somatic hybrid cell lines obtained by crossing human diploid fibroblasts with an established mouse fibroblast line. These hybrids represent combination between species more remote than those previously described (see, however, discussion virusinduced heterokaryons). They are also first reported containing components possess which may be useful for certain types genetic investigations. Interspecific hybridizations involving rat-mouse,' hamster-mouse,2' Armenian hamster-Syrian hamster4 combinations have been shown to yield populations cells capable indefinite serial propagation. Investigations karyotype phenotype such that both parental genomes present2' 5 functional.6 In every case, some loss chromosomes has observed; this occurred primarily during few months propagation, usually amounted approximately 10-20 per cent complement present in newly formed cells, involved parents. Recent studies provided evidence preferential one interspecific hybrids.2' A extreme example encountered human-mouse described, at least 75 cent, cases 95 lost. It possible relate characteristics number retained. colonial morphology antigens membrane, were detected mixed agglutination. Furthermore, information respect chromosomal localization thymidine kinase gene.
