摘要: The propagation of flood waves down very long prismatic rectangular channels was numerically simulated using the full St. Venant equations in (FEQ) model. importance nonkinematic effects on behavior each wave quantified by calculating dimensionless width looped rating curve, which is directly related to sum terms equation motion. Dimensionless loop widths, WL, were found be closely period, τ, Ponce et al. for a wide range bed slopes, channel Manning n-values, and inflow hydrograph rise times. Since variables defining τ can estimated prior detailed modeling, ranking streams order decreasing values should roughly correspond increasing effects. However, backwater expansion/contraction are not captured τ.
