摘要: We report a systematic review and meta-analysis of research using animal models chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). systematically searched 5 online databases in September 2012 updated the search November 2015 machine learning text mining to reduce screening for inclusion workload improve accuracy. For each comparison, we calculated standardised mean difference (SMD) effect size, then combined effects random-effects meta-analysis. assessed impact study design factors reporting measures risks bias. present power analyses most frequently reported behavioural tests; 337 publications were included. Most studies (84%) used male animals only. The outcome measure was evoked limb withdrawal response mechanical monofilaments. There modest number required obtain 80% with significance level 0.05 varied substantially across tests. In this comprehensive summary use CIPN, have identified areas which value preclinical CIPN might be increased. Using both sexes modelling ensuring that align those relevant clinic, animal's pain contextualised ethology will likely external validity. Measures risk bias should employed increase internal validity studies. Different different statistical power, can refine our approaches CIPN.
