Clinical investigation of traumatic injuries in Yeditepe University, Turkey during the last 3 years.

摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate etiology, types traumatic dental injuries, treatment and determine the incidence complications according injuries in patients who referred Yeditepe University, Faculty Dentistry, Istanbul, Turkey. based on clinical data 161 traumatized teeth 92 patients. WHO classification slightly modified by Andreasen & for trauma used. causes localization trauma, classification, were evaluated both primary permanent teeth. distribution diagnosis injured evaluated. Of 35 (38%) girls 56 (72%) boys with a mean age 7.6 +/- 3.5 (ranging 1-14.2) participated followed up 1.72 1.28 years 0.10-3.8 years). From affected teeth, 69 (42.9%) (57.1%) highest frequency occurred 6-12 year group. Overall significantly outnumbered approximately 1:1.6. most common type injury seen as luxation enamel fracture (20%) maxillary central incisors, respectively. Falls major sources (90%) (84%). In dentition, soft tissue is contusion (62.5%) it laceration (49%). choice determined examination only extraction (58 24.6%, respectively) while applied restoration pulpectomy (31.5 18.5%, respectively). Complications recorded 37 (23%) necrosis (10.5%) abscess (7.4%). Necrosis more frequent whereas crown pulpal involvement dentitions. showed that prone traumas than girls. high complication risk. It reveals time immediate important predisposing factors increase success decrease risk complication. correct eliminating occurrence complications.
