摘要: In Brazil, colorectal cancer (CRC) is the fourth most common cause of cancer-related death among men, and third women. We aimed to examine CRC screening-related knowledge, attitudes, practices physicians nurses working in Brazil's network health units, describe capacity these units for screening. 2011, 1600 were randomly selected from all 26 states Federal District. One coordinator one care provider interview. Response rates 78% coordinators, 34% physicians, 65% nurses. The Brazilian National Cancer Institute (INCA) recommendations screening not often used but outreach use exams more that using them. Physicians differed characteristics, their Forty-seven percent reported conducting compared Fecal occult blood test was by nurses, fewer than perceived this exam as very effective reducing mortality.
