摘要: Abstract The sustainability of the renowned artistic glass sector Murano island, in Venice Lagoon (Italy), has been challenged recent years by evolution several socio-economic dynamics as well environmental constraints. Actually, a renewal systemic structure production is increasingly compelling. In this work, Emergy Accounting method (EMA) applied to evaluate factory producing colored glass. analysis, for which new Unit Values (UEVs) were calculated some chemicals, shows that activity relies mainly upon purchased resources, most evident element weakness. An evaluation downstream ecosystem services required dilute heavy metal pollutants also presented, again addressing intrinsic fragility system. particular, it shown how indissolubly linked problems involved management entire lagoon, underlining safeguard must be part and its lagoon. UEV semifinished glasses results 2.31E+10 sej/g (with labor services), 1.87E+10 (without services).
