Improved methods for assignment of multiplicity in 13C NMR spectroscopy with application to the analysis of mixtures

摘要: Improved methods for the assignment of resonance multiplicity in 13C NMR spectra are described. Assignments achieved either by direct observation intensity modulations resulting from gated spin echo (GASPE) experiments, or derivation ‘selected multiplet’ containing only C, CH, CH2 CH3 carbon resonances. The time-efficient and, comparison with single frequency off-resonance decoupling technique, show improved spectral resolution. Chemical mixtures used to illustrate procedures. Possible application materials deriving fossil fuel sources is considered.
